Lund University was founded in 1666 and has a long history spanning over 350 years. Today there are around 41, 000 students in Lund. Lund University has one of Sweden’s strongest and broadest research environments and is recognized as one of the world’s top research-led comprehensive universities.
Higher education in Sweden is financed largely by tax revenue. Tuition fees are fully subsidized for students from Sweden, the EU/EEA area and Switzerland. Students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland are obliged to pay tuition fees.
