4 September – Leisure Guides

Get inspired to discover the wonderful indoor and outdoor activities in Southern Sweden, including going to the theatre*(more info below)!

You can count yourself among the lucky ones if you ended up living in Lund or Malmö for a shorter or longer period of your life. Lund is ranked among the best places to live in Sweden. And that is not for nothing. Swedish lifestyle may be new to you where the balance of life/work is a very important ingredient but the many (cheap) musea’s and especially the vast outdoors is another one.

There are many places of which you probably not have heard about, or found the time to visit yet. Let yourself be inspired by Andrea Maasland, our Leisure Guide and expat herself, who will tell you about many hidden gems to visit and to explore. To get it from an expat perspective is different than visiting a tourist agency. Since she loves telling or hearing about places that are special, it is also a chance to share your favorite place.

Found a place great for kids, exciting nature, wonderful food that she did not mention? Sharing and inspiring is the main goal of this event, so feel free to tell a bit about it. And of course, we will share some seasonal tips.

*Playmate Theatre Malmö is a small English-speaking theatre group who opened last year delighting audiences, many from LICH, – both non-Swedes and Swedes – with 3 sell-out theatre productions at black box theatre Bastionen in Malmö. Just opposite Malmö Central Station. Playmate are now opening their second season of quality theatre in English in Malmö with their play Quality Street opening in 2 weeks on 20th September. A play described as “Moments of theatre, drama, laughter and delight”. May I present Kevin Benn, veteran actor, storyteller and founding member of Playmate Theatre.”
