Have you just moved to Sweden or Denmark? Would you like to know more about the region´s heritage and Christmas traditions? Then join us 7th December to experience something unique!
We invite you to experience the Christmas atmosphere among traditional houses built long ago, at the Open air museum Kulturen, located in the centre of Lund.
Monika Lennartsson is an authorised Skåne guide at Kulturen who will take us through an interesting environment and also share her journey with us from Germany to Sweden. We will start with a short walk through the cosy atmosphere of central Lund. Thereafter reaching Kulturen, we will take part in traditional Christmas preparations at Västra Vrams Vicarage. Also viewing the farmhouse, where the farmer Carl Olsson lived with his family between 1815
After that we will have a look at the elegant decorated salon belonging to the bourgeois family of professor Thomander in Lund. There we will see a striking innovation that provides a special glamour for Christmas.
Our visit at a worker´s home will conclude the tour, thereafter we will enjoy
special Swedish Christmas snacks and beverage at Kulturen´s traditional cafe.
DATE: Thursday 7th December
MEETING POINT: International Citizen Hub in Lund, Ekska huset, St Petri Kyrkogata 4, Lund.
After a short introduction we will walk together to Kulturen in Lund, approximately a 10 minutes walk.
INCLUDED: The tour is free of charge and includes a guided tour and a Christmas fika at Kulturen.
