As some of you may have noticed, the IT sector worldwide is screaming for competent people to hire. So if you are finding it difficult to find a job in Sweden, why not try the IT world? Yrkeshögskolan – the Higher Vocational Training Center here in Sweden, offers numerous courses in diverse areas and among them are three IT courses that do not require Swedish to get accepted into the course. However, Swedish is useful since the lectures will be held in Swedish, but everything else is in English.
Though all courses offered by Yrkeshögskolan require passing grades in English and Mathematics from a Swedish high school (which few expats have), they can still accept up to 20% of the course participants based not on their grades, but on their CVs and interviews. This makes these courses perfect for the expat community, which is why we have invited them to come speak about the different courses they offer in Lund, Malmö and Helsingborg. Come by and listen to what they have to say and see if it could be something for you.
